Pretty Lips….all day!

I love a great lip stain. Recently I have become addicted to Tarte’s Rise & Shine in “cherry and pink. I don’t use the word “addicted” too often either. Seriously, they stay in my purse instead of my kit so I have access to them whenever I want. What makes Rise and Shine so special is that it is a lip stain and gloss…and they’re waterproof! One end has a felt tip to apply the lip stain and the other end is a plumping gloss in either a sheer pink or sheer red. The stains are so pretty and the gloss is that perfect kind of gloss that isn’t too sticky but remains on the lips for a good amount of time. “Pink” is a perfect color pink that will look good on everyone—really-- and the red reminds me of that natural pigmentation babies have when their lips are bright and pretty. You know what I’m talking about, right? And that’s just the stain part! The gloss has a tint of color which is nice and the bonus of a plumping agent. It’s like killing three birds with one stone (I know it’s a morbid expression). These are two products that are going to be hard to top in the category of function and durability. I am pleased to introduce these products to all my clients and friends since I know they are going to look great and wear well.

He thought I was 24!!!!

I am literally weeks away from turning 30 years old and to tell you the truth….very excited about it. I’m not all caught up in feeling like I’m getting old and all that hoopla. I’ ve always thought I’ ve looked young for my age and have enjoyed growing up and maturing. I was taken aback recently when somebody I see on a regular basis due to work related duties commented on me being the same age as they were after telling me they were 24 years old….I was shocked. I was like, “honey, you’re just a baby!” and he commented back about how we were the same age and I was like, “NO……I’m hitting 30 here!” He was really surprised. Well I thought about this little fortunate exchange of words for a while. What about me make people think I am younger than what I actually am? I’ ve always been on more of the mature side. Gorgeous Locks!

Beautiful Hair for Brunettes! When a dear friend of mine, Distressed Jeans, went to a wonderful little shindig a.k.a.: Melanie Segal's Platinum Luxury Suite for a pre-Emmy party, she was able to snag up all kinds of goodies. Anyway, Distressed Jeans is a beautiful blonde while my head of hair is more of a mix of browns, reds, and a smidgen of blonde highlights. So I lucked out when she gave me her Bed Head shampoo and conditioner in Brunette Goddess . First of all, this shampoo smells good enough to eat. Like sweets that were freshly baked.
